Very modern and interesting architecture. Open and airy interior. Exterior glass panels that change colour depending on the outside light spectrum. Resembles scales of a fish. Worth a visit even if you don't take in a concert.

"The Harp" concert hall is beside the harbour in Reykjavik. Hard to miss as resembles 2 giant sugar cubes, illuminated with animated lights at night. Absolutely worth a look inside, spectacular architecture in modern style. There is a guided tour, ISK 1500, which is probably worth taking, if time permits. Regrettably, my visit was brief, would have liked to attend a concert, to rate acoustics/comfort etc. but can't comment on those from my quick look round.

I was here for Airwaves 2012. I was blown away by the architecture and structure of Harpa. I was able to see a few concerts in different locations throughout the building and each had great acoustics and sightlines. Seeing the light show from the inside and from the outside was really neat as well. If it wasn't so windy, I would have greatly enjoyed the pond areas outside of Harpa but it was really too cold to stay outside for long.

We did not attend a performance there-but the building is a marvel and worth the walk to go see. The glass is amazing-really beautiful.
