Description: A small family owned and operated restaurant known for its fresh fish, juicy steaks, big burgers and fresh salads. Also even though this is not a bar this restaurant carries one of Iceland's biggest selection of local beer on bottle and draft to accompany your meal.

Very nice meals of arctic char and lamb steak. Great service also. Highly recommended. Kids devoured the burger!

Really good food at reasonable prices. We arrived in Iceland on a cold and wintry 4th July looking for somewhere warm and welcoming for a decent local meal. Well we certainly found it at Restaurant 73. We had to wait a short while for a table but it was worth the wait. We both tried the cod which was lovely. Husband had a local beer and I enjoyed the wine. As it was so busy we shared our table with a Scottish couple (hello Dave and Margaret if you're reading this!) Never met them before but we had a very entertaining evening chatting to them. We finished off with ice cream and berries and coffee. Delicious. And reasonably priced compared to other restaurants we visited. In spite of the busyness of the restaurant we weren't rushed to finish. Well worth a return visit. We wish we'd come back here on our last evening rather than wasting our money at the pearl for a horrible meal..... Your food and service far better.

The quality of the food and service was very good. The person I was with had the cod which was really well prepared. I had a burger and really enjoyed it!

It was our last night in town and it was raining (again!) and we had no dinner plans. So we walked for a while and checked menus and wound up here.
My wife had the cod which was perfectly done and a nice portion of veges which are often lacking in Iceland. I had lamb which I probably had each of our 11 previous days in Iceland. was and my lamb was as good as any, and often more expensive restaurant in Iceland. The lamb was kind of a sirloin/top round cut instead of the ubiquitous loin of lamb. It came with a sauce that I didn't even use because it had such good flavor.
