Description: A small family owned and operated restaurant known for its fresh fish, juicy steaks, big burgers and fresh salads. Also even though this is not a bar this restaurant carries one of Iceland's biggest selection of local beer on bottle and draft to accompany your meal.

We came on this restaurant as it was just around the corner from our hotel and we were not dissapointed.
When we arrived, we were seated quickly and handed menus for food and drinks.
The service was great, they came to order drinks (from an extensive local beer list) and food quickly.

The atmosphere was like a friendly pub, no loud music, but had a mix of locals and tourists all chatting away.

I tried the Barbeque burger and my wife tried the Salmon taglietelle, both arrived after about 10mins and tasted superb!

The burger was moist and very tasty, it came with peppers, oniopn, barbeque sauce and nice chips.
The pasta was not short on salmon and a good portion size. Very filling and came with Garlic bread.

The beer selction was great and worth going for to sample some of the local micro-brewery ales.

The waitresses were attentive and asked how our meal was and whether we wanted anything more, but as we were stuffed, we declined.

When it came to pay the bill, a mix up meant they hadn't charged us for our beers, but as we had enjoyed the meal so much, we corrected the error and gladly paid the 5,400 isk (GBP 28). It was worth every penny

After seeing this restaurant on here we decided to go for a quick burger before our Northern lights trip. We were not disappointed!! We were sat down quickly despite it being busy and our order taken promptly. The 2 burgers arrived after a short wait. They were gorgeous! We had the epic blue cheese and the greek burger with a beer and a coke for approx £25 - not bad for a capital city. Would definitely recommend this great restaurant!

Went for something had never tried the Arctic charr which is fish. We were in a rush, waited minutes to be seated as restaurant was full. Very quick meal to a good standard washed down with wine that was reasonable in price. Had pecan pie for dessert which was fab.
