We only spent about 12 hours in Reykjavik between our cruise and flight home. We were a bit tentative staying at the Borg, since one of the other cruise passengers had mentioned not being pleased with their Borg's stay. Right from our arrival at the hotel, everything was perfect and we wished we had had more time to experience more of your services. Next time we visit Reykjavik, we will definitely stay at the Borg again.More

Great location, but the bed was stiff along with the pillows. I expected more from this quality hotel. Rooms were small but very clean. You can walk to many dining options. The hotel seems very formal.

In general the hotel public spaces and the room are fine. The Art Deco decorations and architecture are appreciated. However, the rooms can benefit from more storage spaces, both for clothes and for sundries. The bathroom also needs more space for guests' toiletries. Breakfast was great.

I was happy with this hotel. It was clean, and it was quiet. The front desk staff were very helpful with everything I asked of them. My one complaint is the lack of outlets for plugging electronics in. I found one in the bathroom. All others had lights plugged into them. This is a great location for catching tours at City Hall. I stayed there to sleep 4 hours prior to my flight home, so I didn't have too many expectations.

I will never recommend the property. 5 star hotels are my standard of travel, I found unhelpful front desk rep; no adapters available; mattress was sunken in; no USB ports to charge devices. Horrible.

We chose Hotel Borg for our two night stay due to the central location and previous reviews. We were not disappointed. The central location is a plus as one can walk to just about any city attraction and we really liked the hotel. We had a larger room on the 5th floor that was more than adequate and also quiet. A great bed too! Like many European hotels, drawer space is at a premium, i.e. non-existent, but there is a wardrobe with shelves and hangers. As our visit was short, we used the luggage racks and lived mostly out of our suitcase, as the room was spacious enough.The shower was very good with strong water pressure and hot water.
Our room included breakfast and we took advantage of the morning food options at adjacent Jamie's. Again, it was adequate for our morning tastebuds. We found ourselves starting our evening meal at the bar on the corner which has a great window to observe the world, plus notable cocktails. We then chose nearby restaurants for dinner (Jamie's and Ghandi) before enjoying a nightcap at the bar right next door. All very convenient and fitting to our vacation style.
Finally, the Hotel Borg staff is very friendly and were more than wiling to assist with any questions.
