I had a fantastic time at this hotel. The most comfy bed (and huge!) I've ever had in a hotel, excellent black out curtains for deep sleeping, a huge shower head and jacuzzi bath was a dream. Quiet. Very quiet. We were on the 4th floor facing the front which is a big green square so perhaps that's why I never heard anyone moving around. i found the staff pleasant and helpful.

My only gripe was that we arrived so early in the morning and there was just no budging on check in times. Which, fine, I understand you have to get the room ready, we just had hours to kill and apparently the room sat there empty while we lay shattered in the lobby. Well, that ended up being a minor complaint because this hotel treated us very nicely, helped to set up tours of the surrounding area. I'd stay here again for sure.

Located in the heart of the city, this is a great option...also beautifuly decorated rooms and areas...very good breakfast!

But one of the things that differentiated this hotel from the rest is its people...among them Eva and Heida who went above and beyond to make our experience in Iceland even better. We miss them already.

We stayed there on two different occasions while visiting Iceland. We were so please the first time around that we dediced to stay a second time.

If you want to have no worries on your vacation, enjoy a great night rest and be treated special...Borg is the hotel.

Room Tip: 416 or 216 Turn the bathroom heater to 4 if you want the floors and toilet to be warm...

Very clean and decor is lovely. Nice big room & huge posh bathroom. The staff were friendly and breakfast buffet was good. There metered on street parking nearby (quite expensive). All the attractions are closeby. Its quite a busy area but couldn't hear the noise from in our room.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel, spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained. The staff were very helpful and happy to check arrangements for excursions, airport transfers etc. The hotel is located downtown close to lots of restaurants, attractions and the main shopping streets of Reykjavik. The only downside with the room was that the hot water could run out after only one shower but other than that it was absolutely perfect - we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Art Deco wing which was stunning. We specifically asked for a quiet room as we were travelling with our young daughter and we were not at all disappointed.

We stayed here during our honeymoon in Iceland. I contact the hotel ahead of time to have some flowers and a note in the room and not only were the flowers beautiful but we were given a beautiful suit and complimentary bottle of champagne.
All the desk staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was spotless and in a great location and the bed was huge and very comfortable. I have read about excessive noise outside the hotel and we did hear some noise once or twice but couldn't hear a thing with the windows closed.
I woud highly recomend this hotel to anyone visiting reykjavik
