Perfect central location for access to shops, restaurants, museums and other cultural centres. Spread over several separate buildings, the hotel has a small scale ambience, offering spacious older accommodation in addition to more modern rooms. Friendly, flexible staff eager to accommodate guests needs.
If that's what you want and need, look no further.
AH, London.

My friend stayed here in November and recommended it, I can't thank her enough. It was the perfect place for us to stay with my two grandsons she's 19 and 15. Our place was clean, convenient to everything and so many complimentary items, milk, juice, snacks and coffee. The staff was so helpful and offered so many suggestions.

The rooms were tastefully decorated. There was a refrigerator and freezer. There was a safe. The bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. But both nights we stayed there, the fire alarm went off with no fire: once at 2 am. and once at 10 am. (we were still on the U.S. time zone, and it was 6 am. for us)

We stayed twice this August and were lucky enough to get the same room in the new annexe both times. It was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and furnished with some generous touches - toys for the kids, coffee machine with large number of pods, cereal & milk and also nice toiletries. Oh - free washing machine & dryer in the basement too.
The location is SUPERB - you can walk to every spot on your Reykjavik hit-list easily, and the neighbourhood itself is charming and heaving with very cool shops / bars / restaurants.
We'll definitely stay again.

Room tip: Head for an upstairs room - the ground floor security door slams!

Great location just a block or two off the main shopping/pedestrian street. If you’re looking to economize and don’t have need of an expensive breakfast, you can eat in your room with hotel supplied coffee, milk, juice, and corn flakes, while purchasing whatever else you want. Rooms are well-sized with good beds, duvets, and well-sealed windows.
