We were at home from the moment we arrived
The front desk person was so helpful
We rented a studio apartment and everything was provided
They refilled the refrigerator with milk juice and coffee
The rooms were up to date and beautifully decorated
So glad we found this place
It was in the heart of all activities
Rooms were very quiet
You did not hear anything next door
Great place

We are a family of 6 with 4 teenage sons and the 2 bedroom apartment was fantastic for us. The apartment had plenty of space (even with 2 of the lads in the lounge) very clean light and airy. Every evening the fridge was refilled with breakfast for the morning and then fresh bread was left outside the apartment 1st thing.

I would recommend for anybody needing accommodation in central Reykjavik.

The room in the hotel was a fairly good size and nicely kept but with limited amenities. One downside of the experience was that our room was on the ground floor. We only stayed for three nights, however every night we heard people passing by our room until very late at night, keeping a few of us awake. We had never been to Iceland before but the location was central and gave us a good feel for the city with an easy walk everywhere. They brought a basket of food for breakfast and fresh bread to our room every morning which was great!

The room was absolutely excellent with all the facilities we needed. We booked a studio as that was all that was available when we booked. Location ideal too and free car park very handy. Staff were very helpful when needed. We were at the back which was fairly quiet. Overall we had a great stay and would go back. Areas that could be improved are: daily cleaning service which did not always replace dish towels and did not happen at all one day, car park locked 12 midnight to 7am which means you have to park elsewhere if leaving early - not a problem on the day luckily but was not as advertised, no note in room of number to call when no staff on reception (we were told the number on check in but could not remember it). Lastly we would have preferred to know in advance we would not be in main building as it would have saved arriving in the wrong place and having to drive elsewhere afterwards. If these things were improved would have been perfect. Great place to stay.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room ask for one at the back.

This place was great. My husband and I travelled to Reykjavik and met up with my sister and parents before heading out to the countryside. We stayed in the 3 room suite apartment which was perfect for our family. There was a big living room, kitchen/dining, bathroom and three large comfortable bedrooms. It feels very homey and comfortable and beautifully furnished. We definitely all had our own space but it was nice to have a common shared space. The front desk was happy to accomodate all of our transfer/excursion/adventure needs and made it very easy and comfortable for us. If you get a ground floor suite, just know that Icelanders party very late and definitely aren't quiet as they pub crawl from place to place, but otherwise no complaints about our stay!

Room Tip: Suites on the ground floor can be noisy on weekends.

As said below, hard to describe this as a hotel, it's a guesthouse - not that that should be taken as a negative. Our room was fabulous. Good size, very clean, classy design, comfy bed, very reliable free wifi, only slight downside was the hand-held shower attachment in the bathroom (but this is just nit-picking, not really a problem at all). Didn't have the breakfast but there was still cornflakes and milk to help yourself to which was a nice touch. As no communal areas in the hotel had very little contact with staff. When we did they were efficient without being overly friendly. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a great room, right in the centre of town, and who's not fussed about having all the extras which you get in a 'regular' hotel. Very good.

We took a two bedroom apartment and were given one in the top floor of the building directly behind the main one. It was perfect, in our case there was only one other apartment on the other side of the landing, absolutely no noise, and the apartment was really well furnished. It was extremely comfortable, roomy, with kitchen, living room, large bathroom and two bedrooms, we couldn't fault a thing at all. As a guest house, there's no restaurant, breakfast etc, but the hotel is right in the centre of the old town and a 5 minute walk to any number of cafes and restaurants. Free parking right next to our building. Reykjavik old town is generally noisy on a Saturday night, its strange it seems everyone is on a mission to get drunk until 4am and scream a lot, but we didn't hear it. We just loved this hotel.
