We had garlic bread starter, then pizza, lasagne ,a pasta dish and a fish dish between the four of us all of which were tasty and not too expensive (for Iceland). The restaurant had been recommended to us and was worth the visit. If you want Italian food then try it. It's right in the centre of Reykjavik on the main shopping street.

It has the look of a cafe/pizza hut type place but the food was very good, cheapish for Iceland, good service ( though it is not customary to pay extra for service anywhere) and very good value.
Beer was poor, though.

Rossopomodoro is a reliable chain in Italy and in UK... But I've got the feeling that Reykjavik is still too far away. The pizza wasn't good at all like in other non- Neapolitan settings, but i suspect is enough for local standards. I would probably opt for pasta or other dishes featuring at least a local ingredient. I have tasted salmon and it was excellent. Great service. I would give it a try. But if you're Italian, set your expectations a but lower...

We ate  here on our first night in Iceland, it is located on the main shopping street. We walked in without a reservation and we're seated and served reasonably well.
The food pasta and a pizza were okay, hot and tasty, but only an average experience. There was no atmosphere.

We went here for an early dinner after an afternoon shopping.

We both had pizzas, and both were very tasty, and by Iceland's standards, reasonably priced (about 2,200ISK). The pasta dishes were a lot more expensive, so we didn't go for those. The desserts were over-priced, but we treated ourselves, and they were also yummy.

The first waiter we had was rather abrupt, but others were friendly.

If you're trying to avoid spending a fortune, or fancy a change from fish and soup, this is a good choice.
