Our group of 11 people took the Snaefellsnes peninsula tour with Steinar and we all had a wonderful time! Steinar is a very intelligent and interesting person and was a perfect guide (and a great driver). We all enjoyed conversing with him about Iceland, its people and the sights we saw. He kept the tour moving but never once did we feel rushed. He even made reservations for us that night at a very good restaurant (3 Farkkas).
The scenery is out of this world. Stopping at the private hot springs out in the middle of nowhere, with snow on the ground, and jumping in was an experience I will never forget. Highly recommended. And if you go the the Budir Hotel for lunch by all means try to the fish soup. I loved it and I don't particularly like fish!
Jonas the owner was taking a smaller group on the same tour that day and we met him once or twice. He was very friendly and always wanted to make sure we were all having a good time (we were). He even gave us two big bags of Icelandic doughnuts that he and his daughter had made for us the night before.
If you visit Reykjavik by all means do not miss this tour!
