The fish and chips are as stellar as the other reviews say: perfectly fried, generously portioned, and paired perfectly with a trifecta of dipping sauces.
So why the low overall rating? The wait.
Our party of five arrived around 7:15pm, relatively early for dining in Reykjavik. The restaurant was quiet, maybe about half full, but it still took over an hour from the time we ordered to finally get our food. No explanation, apology, or compensatory measure offered. I was starving and glaring in the direction of the kitchen.
Good thing we were staying in the apartments in the building right next to Harry's since we had to rush back to prepare for a northern lights tour.
