“Great Meal in Iceland”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

I went to this restaurant because my tour company offered me a voucher, due to a mix-up with my bookings. It did not disappoint. I had the Around Iceland menu and each course was wonderful. The servers were very nice and explained each dish and which region of Iceland was represented.

The chef was accommodating to my mussel allergy and replaced the mussel foam with turnip foam.

“Fresh fish and more”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

This would be a great restaurant in any city of the world. The fish is fresh of course, its iceland. But the sophistication of how it was prepared was the pleasant surprise

“The Best!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Had the set menu "Trip around Iceland" with the corresponding wine menu and this was something special. Food are delicious, looks good and tastes like a bit from heaven. Fish and lamb in a setting that remindes me of very expencive Michelin star restaurants. It is cosy and warm and you are taken care of in a special way. In short: The Best!

“One of the best dining experiences anywhere ...”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Visited here for a late lunch with my other half and very pleased that we decided on this restaurant. Starters of the fish soup (with big bits of langoustine and plenty of other fantastic flavours) and Haddock & Mussel were followed by baked plaice (with herb mayo, carrot cake crumble & orange potatoes, caramelised walnuts and orange glaze) and a dish of salted cod with soft-shell crab with flavours of vanilla and white chocolate. The food was really inspired and extremely tasty. We shared a dessert of tiramisu which was also delicious. The service was relaxed, attentive without being overpowering, exactly as it should be. The actual environment is also very special, just the right mix of comfort and quirkiness. For such a high standard of food the lunch menu is great value also, compared to other places in Reykjavik. Very highly recommended. For me this restaurant is right up there with the likes of Spago, etc.
