I'd never have gone to a restaurant such as this in a month of Sundays, except that a) I became confident of Reykjavik cuisine as a result of our visit to the Grill Market the previous evening (see review); and b) we had a 2-for-1 voucher as a result of buying flowers from a florist via our Hotel (Icelandair Marina - see that review also).
Again, a restaurant quite full with a lot of locals as well.
As it says, it specialises in fish.
We had bread of course and the waiter explained the three butters that were provided with it, one which was based on skyr, the 'Icelandic yoghurt'. They were delicious.
All our courses were, and I never expected to select salted cod, monkfish and arctic char and enjoy them as much as I did. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal also.
When it came to settle the bill we were charged for both meals, and I pointed out our voucher, which iot seems that the manager/owner hadn't been informed of. With absolutely no quibbling whatsoever the bill was amended, with absolutely everything - drinks included - down to 2-for-1.
Great service, great meal which reflects the costs and is still excellent value for money, very highly recommended.
And yes, those toilets !
