I booked to go scuba diving with dive.is in Silfra months ago and the communication was amazing from the beginning, the booking process was easy and user friendly, the website was easy to use, full of information and great pictures. I emailed the company just before flying out to check they had everything they needed from me and they emailed me straight back in a very friendly manner confirming everything was good. The day of the dive I was picked up by my instructor and guide promptly by Richard, who was so friendly and welcoming and full of information and love for the job. There was 2 other divers on my tour, so it was a very nice small friendly group. The weather in Iceland was pretty bad the long weekend I was in town so the road to Silfra was originally closed but we were able to wait in the warm and drink coffee and meet Icelandic horses. As soon as the road opened we got into our undersuits (which were so comfortable, fitted well and warm, I am actually heading back home to buy one for my drysuit.) The drive to Silfra we were told very interesting facts about the surrounding area and our briefing for the dive was very good and very informative. Our kit was already prepared for us and set up and the sizing was perfect. I have a small neck and wrists so was worried about my suit leaking but they sorted the seals out perfectly. Once we were all suited up we were helped into our suits and everything done up for us as we had thick gloves on. The dive itself was epic, loved every minute of it and felt the company was very well organised, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend diving Silfra with dive.is to anyone coming to Iceland, the service was the best I’ve seen around!
