First I should say that I only used Reykjavik Excursions for transportation from the airport (Fly Bus) into the city and then again out to the Blue Lagoon. Upon arriving at the airport, the customer service agent selling tickets was extremely rude and did not even know when the next bus left for the city. When boarding the bus to the city, the employees on the bus was cold and not very helpful. After this experience, I was thankful that I had booked all other excursions through other companies. From my experience, they seem to be a good value for transportation from the airport to the city; however, if this was any indication of overall customer service I would think seriously before booking any excursions with this company.

We did the Golden Circle tour combined with snowmobiling.
It’s a very good idea to combine 2 tours into one day as the Golden Circle is really only a half day trip. 15min stop at Pingvellier, with another 10mins to see the buildings and flag and crystal clear waters at another point a bit further down. Then a 45mins stop at Geysir to include lunch as well.
3hrs in total at snowmobiling, but only max 1hr on snowmobiles – with a half way point if you want to change drivers so both can have a go.
Gulfoss waterfall is magnificent – much bigger than I expected, and a nice café if you want any food and drink after snowmobiling.
We had a very good guide, very informative and happy to tell you anything you want to know – about Iceland, the people, the trips offered etc etc
Really recommended day, but wrap up warm, and bring wet weather gear – even in summer !!

We used Reykjavik Excursions quite extensively during this past week in Iceland. They were always on time, professional and being picked up and dropped off at the hotel was a nice touch. (most Icelandic tour companies will do this.) The timings were stated on all correspondence and on our tickets and the hotel even confirmed with us the pick-up time slots (beginning 30 min prior to tour start and to be ready at front of hotel as the time could be any time within the window). Professional drivers and amusing guides (not all things translate from Icelandic to English in a recognizable manner). Would highly recommend and will use next time back in Iceland

This is who you go with if you book through Iceandair.
They seem to be the biggest and best value for money so also the most touristy so you won't get a small group when you go with them but they are good value for money.
We had no problems with them and they were always on time. It states on your ticket to be ready half an hour before departure time so read your receipt as some people reviewing this seem to have not!
A small bus will generally pick you up from the hotel and then take you to the depot and then you get on a bigger coach.
When they drop you off it will be near your hotel but not right by it usually because the roads are so small! They will also drop you off in the town centre if you ask.
Our organisers were lovely and we even had a mad women who liked to sing to us all but it added to the experience. What came across was their love of Iceland.
If you want a more personal service then look around but for value for money choose these!

Don't assume that the time and location for pickup written on your invoice and voucher is correct. I booked two trips though RE; a Golden Circle Tour and a trip to the Blue Lagoon. Both times we missed the bus to go to the main bus terminal (we took a taxi to the BSI Bus Terminal and just made it for the Golden Circle Tour). When they wrote on our confirmations that we would be picked up at our hotel (City Center Hotel), that's what we thought would happen. Instead, when we called, we were told we would be picked up in front of the Plaza Hotel, half a block away. That was fine with us, but the reservation for the Blue Lagoon stated 8:30 with entrance at 9:00. We were in front of the Plaza hotel by 8:15. When the van wasn't there to pick us up by 8:40, we asked the receptionist at the Plaza to call for us, which she pleasantly did. As it turns out we were told we should have been there by 8:00, so we rebooked for 10:00. It was an aggravating experience dealing with this company! I will never to go Iceland again because of them.
