We came here for a bite to eat fancying some low key burger type food rather than the finer dining we had experienced the 2 nights before.

Theres not even a lot to say about it here - cafe style dining at BEST. The food was not as high a standard as it is a cafe.

We had fish and chips and an Icelandic Fish Stew. I had asked the waitress what it was like and would she recommend it? She said yes, she really liked it....

Mushed up fish with melted cheese on top was probably the best description i could give.

Everything about the meal was bad, the service wasn't great either. The waitress really couldn't care less.

The diet coke i ordered was definitely not diet coke but a cheap version of the same.

For the 2 meals and 2 soft drinks it came to over £25. Very expensive for such poor quality food.

DONT EAT HERE. SPEND MORE AND EAT ELSEWHERE. IT'LL BE THE BEST MONEY YOUVE EVER SPENT

To start think about how good you think Mexican good really is going to be before you order a Mexican dish here and keep that in mind when you're reading all these reviews. We love Mexican food so we stayed clear of the Mexican dishes. We got the Mexican burgers which were really big and juicy with great fries (good seasoning) and beer. Perfect after a long day of sightseeing. The chips with salsa didn't come with much salsa but sure they would have given more because they seemed to be very accommodating. Excellent service but we were only 1 of 3 tables in there on a late night so that was probably to our favor

Avoid this restaurant at all costs, no pun intended. Walked in and instead of following our instincts and leaving, we stayed and thought we'd give the place a chance. It was quiet and despite this the service was very slow. Started with nachos and drinks. Safe bet you'd think but the nachos were very dry with a tiny amount of salsa provided. Onto the mains, we both went for the CHICKEN enchilada. Chicken in capitals because it was aweful. Not nice cuts not well cooked, slimy and in general not something I'd feed to my worst enemy. Salad and more dried nachos to accompany. Plus guacamole, salsa and sour cream (unlike any sour cream I have ever tried ! HORRIBLE !) at this point my fiancée pointed out the two hairs that had made it onto her plate and we decided after persisting and giving the meal every possible chance that this was enough. We called the waitress over and told her we were unsatisfied. Although her English was good she could not care less. All that interested her was whether or not we would pay and how quickly she could get back to her phone behind the bar. Bill came to 7790isk £37.50 depending on exchange rate. If anyone had been walking in as we left I would have told them then and there to look elsewhere. WORST MEAL I HAVE EVER EATEN OUT. Service 0/10 food -5/10 price 1/10 (no where in Reykjavik is much less than that !)

There wasn't alot open on Christmas Eve and some of our hotel companions ended up with takeaway pizza so we felt lucky to be allowed to stand in this restaurant for 10 minutes waiting for a table when loads of tables were empty. Not friendly waitress eventually let us sit down. Food was okay mexican food, generous portions. Probably wouldn't choose it again if other places are open.

A group of four chose this place due to previously looking at the menu in the window on a walk round the town, so we returned later that same evening. As we entered we were a bit surprised as its not really a restaurant, more of a very small (almost dinghy looking) local pub. Our hopes were raised however by a couple who had just eaten who stated that the fish and chips were excellent.

We had three starters. Loaded potato skins (cheese, bacon and jalapeño). These were ok, but nothing I was not expecting or that tasted better than any others I had, having said that, they were potato skins so you can't really do an awful lot to them. 'Mexican' soup - very creamy with a slight kick to it. Tasty, but very very watery, not finished.
Noodles with chicken and prawns - probably the best of the three starters. Tasted good and there was plenty of chicken and prawns. Huge portion that could easily be eaten as a main dish or a shared starter with someone.

The mains consisted of two fish and chips - Now these do not come as we expected and instead of a wholes fish it is three medium sized goujons. Having said that both people who ate this did say it was very pleasant.
Beef fajitas - not much wrong with these, but again not anything to shout home about.
Rack of ribs - as above really.

The accompaniments to all dishes were fine (chips well cooked etc).

The price for three starters, four mains and three alcoholic and one non alcoholic drink was one hundred and fifty pounds (GBP).

The place/food was ok, but nothing more. The other places we ate during our short stay knocked this for six!
