“Absolutely fantastic, 100% positive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

Fantastic accommodation, very spacious 1 bed apartment in great location convenient for town centre/harbour as well as local supermarket, but no noise from the street. Apartment warm and v comfortable, incredibly well equipped - from kitchen utensils/basics like tea/coffee/washing up stuff/cooking oil to entertainment system and even a local mobile phone for use during the stay with useful numbers already added! A friendly welcome, staff easily contactable for all your needs and happy to help. All in all a fantastic experience, great value for money, can't recommend it highly enough - we'll definitely be going back!

I stayed in an apartment with a friend in October, we found the check-in office very easily and the apartments are just in front. We met the owner in the office who was very helpful and informative and we paid there. Our apartment was the first one on the ground floor which was nice with our suitcase!

The apartment was 'funky' to say the least! Red/Pink themed studio apartment with kitchen, TV, chaise, table and double bed in one large space, with a connecting bathroom and mini-hallway/porch area with a cupboard.

There was a mobile phone with an Icelandic number to use, as well as an Ipod doc (so useful!) TV, DVD player and a selection of DVD's and books (more to borrow back in the office) just in case you want to have an evening in for a few hours.

The apartment was super clean, with utensils in the kitchen as well as basic ingredients and condiments. There's a haridryer, iron/board too. The bathroom is amazing! They provide loads of fresh towels, as well as bathrobes and slippers! There's also shampoo, conditioner and soap should you need it. The shower was lovely, and it has a 'beauty mirror' for the girls ;)

We found the apartment great, and the location was excellent so you can go for beers etc and walk home (saves on taxi!) it was also really warm.

My only gripes (not many!) would be that one night the heating/radiator was making a clicking/banging sound which woke us up, but it only happened once so we didnt mention it to them. Also we were told by the guy that check-out was 12pm, but the lady came knocking at 11:30am and said check-out was 11am... so double check about that as they seem to not communicate that to each other!

I would definitely recommend the apartments though, for the price they are brilliant and great for couples and friends (studio accommodation so not much privacy!)

Room Tip: We had ground floor which was fine, but you are on the street - maybe higher up if you want more pri...

Having stayed in Reykjavik 4u for 3 nights, two nights in an one bedroom apartment of ground floor and one in another one bedroom apt of 2nd floor right on the reception office, I'd suggest you guys to book the room on upper level for there's less street noise and the wifi signal is better, but the inconvenience would be that there's no lift for your luggage.

The owner here is quite helpful although he seems to be very busy, he tried any possibilities to solve the problems based on our needs, which makes our trip going smoothly. Firstly we stayed here for 2 nights and planned to visit and stay in Vik for the third night, then came back for the last night and leave the next day. Viewing we may come back to Reykjavik late, he made the check in/out documents for the last night in advance before we leave for Vik, and told me to pick up the key in the mailbox, which makes everything easier and all these were based on trust. Althought we didn't meet him on that day we went back, didn't have any problem in returning "home", and he even left a handwritten message on the table for the details of the apartment, which is really kind and thoughtful.

Regarding to the apartment itself, the room is so well designed and maintained, cosy and stylish. Everything in the house makes us feel like home, clean and spacious, besides the bed mattress is really comfortable. Me and my sister slept in the bedroom of a large queen sized bed, and our friend slept on the double sofa bed in the living room, all of us had a wonderful stay.

We also used the kitchen to make some pasta and soup, which would be a bonus to whom gets tired of over-priced north European food. The bakery nearby is good (though a bit rude in service) , so we arranged our tasty breakfast feast at home. Besides, they offer a mobile phone for tenant who needs to stay contact with local tour organizers. All these good service for a reasonable price (90euros/night for 3 people) I think I'll say goodbye to the hotels in Reykjavik for good.

I'd strongly recommend Reykjavik 4u to anyone who wants to have a homey feeling during their trip in Iceland, and I suggest you to book the room directly on their website( because the rate seems more appealing).

This is a great launching pad into the fun city of Reykjavik. My brother and I went for my bachelor party weekend and it was a blast. It was close to everything the city has to offer, food, drinks, shops and tours. If you have not been to Reykjavik, you should put it onto your short-list.

We stayed in Reykjavik for 3 nights. The welcome was very warm and friendly - we have received various information about restaurants, bars, sights in and around Reykjavik. Afterwards, we have been driven to the apartment.

The apartment was very bright and spacious. Great interior (bath with whirlpool). Moreover, the flat is centrally located and many restaurants and bars are just around the corner.

All in all a very good choice if you're staying in Reykjavik and do not need the full service of an ordinary hotel.

My friends and I rented a two bedroom apartment in the beginning of October. The reviews of this place are spot on! What a great, central location in downtown Reykjavik! It is very close to restaurants, shops, bars, etc...The free parking was a plus since we had a rental car (which is the way to see Iceland by driving through the country!). Free WiFi helped us keep in touch with family/friends back home in the States. We had rainy days (to be expected) but that didn't keep us from enjoying all that Reykjavik had to offer! The best part was seeing the Northern Lights from our terrace! Amazing!!

I agree that the only downside was the temperature was very warm in the apartment (even with the heat off!) but it warmed us immediately after a cold, rainy day!

Overall, I would highly suggest these apartments to travelers. Especially if you have a small group, it was very cost effective in comparison to other hotels nearby.

Right in the center of Reykjavik, free parking, near to 24 hr food market a 5 minute walk downtown. Pristine clean, very hot water and great shower pressure, extremely comfortable.
Terrific value in Reykjavik! Would definitely stay there again and would not try to seek any better value than this! Highly recommended.
