Haiti is one of my favorite places in the harbor of Reykjavik. This cafe has perhaps one of the best locations in town offering a relaxed atmosphere and surrounded by many of the best eating houses in town. The friendly and quiet atmosphere of the place probably stems from the manager, a woman from Haiti named Elda. Staffed mainly by foreigners, Haiti has a somewhat international or even Berlinian feel to it. This is the perfect place for an informal meeting, meeting point or perhaps some work. Many locals consider the strong tasting home roasted coffee the best in town.

It's in such a good location, just in front of the Reykjavik marina. If you're going on a whale watching tour, you can take some lovely minutes in this café. The owner / manager is Haitian, and she's a total coffee expert. Quite for coffee connoisseurs :)

What I like most about the place it how authentic it is. It has surely not been designed by experts, and still, it has a great feeling. Love it !!

Stopped in for a beer and light meal. You can get various fish meals, crepes, cakes, as well as coffees and beers. They also serve breakfast. Free wifi in this cute little cafe right by the waterfront and the various tour boats.
