“Nice lamb dish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2013 via mobile

It's always busy there but this place has it's unique character. I really like their lamb dish - simple but very tasty and in a good price. Great coffee.

“Mixed quality of dishes”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

We visited for lunch. I ordered the Icelandic fish stew; my wife chose the (non-Icelandic...) super nachos, with a glass of Viking beer. My fish stew was very good. A large portion of mixed mashed potato and shredded cod, served on three pieces of rye bread in a pale sauce. It was not at all what I had expected from the title 'fish stew' but it was very tasty. The super nachos, on the other hand, were not so good. A ridiculously enormous portion of nachos on which the cheese, chilli sauce and guacamole each appeared to have been squeezed from a tube before being heated. It was 'quantity before quality' and after a good 30 minutes of eating there was still half of it left. You might say 'What did you expect after ordering such a dish?' but I myself have enjoyed nachos at various establishments over the years and this example was well down the list.

“Raw burgers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

Place was lively enough and busy. Staff very friendly but all out burgers were very very raw and that put kids off a bit. Big portions though.

“Looks can be deceiving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

We thought we were in for some ordinary pub food when we first entered the restaurant. How wrong we were. The lamb and 'One and only Icelandic Fish Stew' were sumptuous and classy. The portions were generous, and well worth the price. Definitely worth more than one visit to try all they have to offer!

“First night in Iceland.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

A cute place from the outside, but inside a bit dated. Had a pint and a half of beer, should definitely have order 2 pints as a half was 830 ikr. Had the grand nachos to share and it was huge and delicious, lamb special mains were lovely, Icelandic lamb is very tender. Too many staff, the several waitresses seemed to be bored as we were the only diners in. Overall, lovely food, but not worth the price, reduce the bill for the atmosphere and surroundings then it would be fantastic.
