We were picked up and dropped off, so that was lovely and easy. Our guide Stefan was fantastic, very informative and had a great sense of humour. Each stop was amazing in it's own right. It was a full day of amazing views and lots of photo opportunities.

I am so glad we came on this tour, it was well worth the money!

This was an exceptional day tour of some spectacular sights. Stefan (our guide) was informative and kept things moving smoothly. The Gulfoss waterfall rivaled Niagara Falls. The geysers were as amazing as those of Yellowstone. One geyser erupted almost every 5 minutes giving ample opportunities for some great pictures and videos. Thingvellir National Park was interesting and has played an important role of much of Iceland's history. We ended our day at the Secret Lagoon hot spring where we had approximately 90 mins to relax and unwind soaking in the warm water.
The smaller bus was ideal as it meant fewer people to corral after each stop. The bus was comfortable, with w-fi on board, & room under your seat for a back pack. I would recommend packing a lunch or snacks and drinks as the restaurant we stopped at was rather expensive and nothing special. Pick up and drop off couldn't have been easier. We were picked up 3 blocks from where we were staying at the time we were told we would be. We were dropped off at the end of the day at the same spot.
Great company, well worth the money.

What a fantastic day, exploring parts of Iceland that would surely be out of reach for tourists without the fantastic local knowledge of the tour experts. Thröstur was our fantastic and invaluable guide for the day, padding out what was already a breathtaking tour with lots of local knowledge. He was attentive, answered all of our questions and made the whole day really wonderful. The day started with a trip to the national park, then onto the geysers and waterfall, finished off with a dip in the secret lagoon, and it did not disappoint. Such a beautiful country, with such rich heritage. I would urge anyone visiting to book this tour with this company. I cannot fault them. Thank you.

An excellent Golden Circle tour of Iceland. The trip was on an 18 seater bus which was comfortable, although would have been a bit cramped on the back seat, but luckily there was one spare seat. Our tour guide and driver Andres was excellent and managed to give us a real sense of Iceland and its people past and present. The fantastic scenery speaks for itself and it was great that we didn’t feel rushed. The best bit of the day was bathing in the Secret Lagoon where again we didn’t feel rushed. The Secret Lagoon was not over commercialised and was no frills, which made it all the more charming. All in all a very worthwhile tour.

We did three trips with Gateway to Iceland. Snaefellsness, Hot Golden Circle and South Coast Tour. Each trip was with a small group of people in a minibus with a driver/guide. This is far better than being on a coach with 70+ people. Each tour was very special in it's own right and the guides were interesting and knowledgeable. Because we were in a small group it was very easy to ask the guide any questions we had and they were able to share their own experiences of life in Iceland.
Snaefellsness National Park with David was a wonder of glorious scenery, volcano craters, mountains and rivers.
Hot Golden Circle with Dooley was a tour into the heart of Iceland. You witness the shifting tectonic plates, glorious scenery, erupting geysers and to top it off, a swim in the Secret Lagoon (the oldest swimming pool in Iceland, kept at a steady 38°C).
South Coast Tour with Stefan we got to witness two amazing waterfalls, one of which you can walk behind. You also get to see a glacier and basalt columns on a black sand beach. The journey also includes the obligatory wonderful scenery that Iceland has to offer.
We loved all three tours and when (not if) we return to Iceland, we will definitely book with Gateway to Iceland.

Dooley took us to the Golden Circle and the Secret Lagoon. He was very informative and told great personal stories from growing up that really gave us an idea of how Icelanders used to live and made it to the future. Fun sense of humor. I had been to the Golder Circle before and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour as we went to a different place for the tectonic plates and then came into the other spots different ways than I had already done. The history of the Secret Lagoon was fascinating. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

Our first trip to Iceland far exceeded our expectations! We did two full day tours with Gateway, with Margret as our guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share all she knew. The scenery was spectacular! The small size of our group made us feel so well cared for as well. We heard stories of ghosts, learned about the history of Iceland, the potential of future volcanic eruptions, and chatted for hours as we toured around. Sure hope to return sometime and if we do, we will book only with Gateway2Iceland!!

We spent a truly amazing day on this tour guided by Andres F. His commentary was great with the good mix of humour and facts to keep everyone interested. He went the extra mile to make sure everyone had an enjoyable trip.
