I like their lamb soup and Cream of crowder. A lot of ingredients, really fulfilling. You are also allowed to refill the soup after you finish if you are ordering to serve in a bread.

Small shop but good atmosphere because there are a lot of tourists.

Fast friendly good and cheap!

I had the fish casserole and shellfish soup. The soups were delicious, the bread a little stale (so I didn’t eat it and instead got a second helping- free). It was a $12-15 meal. Be sure to sample the macaroons next to the register (also free).

We walked in and it was packed. Within 2 minutes we had ordered and in 3 minutes we had our food. Since all the tables were taken we walked down to the bar, ordered a beer and ate. Then went back for 2nd's! Fisherman's Favorite was our 1st pick.

We ate dinner there both nights we were in Reykjavik!

Perfect stop for lunch or dinner. This place had the best fish and chips, seasoned and breaded, that we found in all of Iceland. They also served a fish soup that was out of this world; creamy with chucks of scallops, shrimp and cod swimming in a light curry coconut milk bisque. There was even a delicious chicken soup option for the less intrepid diners in our group. Once your done your meal, you receive a free candy bar! Staff was friendly and welcoming and the value can;t be beat.

After first 20 min in Iceland you grasp that eating out in this country is astronomically pricy. And this establishment is a real found for those who wants to save on food when in Reykjavik. Prices are affordable (in Icelandic terms), the portions are tasty and fair enough, and you can always return for free refill (!!!), if you still didn't kill hunger. I enjoyed their kitchen and recommend all the visitors to come here.
