Went there last night. You go to the bar to place your order. Then pre pay. Menu is posted on a board behind the bar.. you help yourself to the water. After ordering we chose a table and in about 20 minutes we had our food. I had the pan fried cod. It was good, my wife had the fish stew which was also good. All meals were served on paper plates. Decent presentation. Our meals were brought to our table, other than that..no wait staff. The bill for my wife and I which included a glass of wine came to 6800 Kr.

We had just flown into Iceland, and were looking for a place to eat after coming through Keflavik. We narrowed it down to two places and decided on Icelandic street food. Boy, am I glad we did. The food is relatively cheap by Icelandic standards, about 15 to 20 usd a person. They have three soups, and you get as many servings as you want. Normally, I don't like all you can eat restaurants, as food quality is low. However, Icelandic street food is different. The food is great, and you get to try all different kinds. The best part, though, was the atmosphere. The whole time we were there there was a young man who appeared to be the owner socializing with everyone he gave out free beer coupons to their bar, which is a little farther down the road. When he learned we don’t drink though, he came back and gave us coupons for free coffee. We had one in our party who doesn’t like soup, and was just siting with us. The young man tried to give him free bowls of soup multiple times. It was overall a great experience and one of my favorite memories from Iceland.
