“Delicious seafood”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

Intending to have a light lunch, we went in search of the Seabaron. Ended up eating loads as it was all delicious. The scallops were so fresh and so juicy, and the prawns tasted so good we ordered more, plus bowls of the delicious soup. Yes we did have the whale steaks, I had eaten that in Iceland before. The strange things was that I couldn't even swallow it, it made me gag. My husband on the other hand really enjoyed it. We had just been on holiday in VIetnam where we had eaten lots of fish and shell fish but this was much better stuff. Far more expensive though!

“Amazing!!!”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We were in Reykjavik for a week and had heard about the Sea Baron from friends who had previously visited. We had forgotten about it until I got an angry reminder as to why we hadn't commented on it yet so we went for dinner that night to give it a try.
It's very simple, you walk up and order and there is a display case with all the fish skewers then you pick and pay and they give you a number.
The first time I had lobster soup (OMG, amazing!) and a Halibut skewer. It was grilled beautifully served with a lemon. It is the freshest fish I've ever tasted.
We decided to squeeze in one more visit before our airport shuttle and were not disappointed. This round we got the soup an arctic char skewer and a potato skewer and it was the perfect finale to an amazing week.

Don't hesitate!!! (also they have deal of the days posted on the display case, read them as it'll save you some $ and may allow you to taste a fish you wouldn't expect)

“Tasty & good value”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Went to Sea Baron following TA review - was not disappointed. Bonus was that it was 2 minutes walk from our hotel and went there the first evening. Frequented by locals, lovely fresh food, but be aware if you are not fish eater, there are only vegetable kebabs to eat! I do not eat fish, but enjoyed the lobster soup and bread and veggie kebabs. You choose the raw kebabs, then they BBQ them and bring to your table. Very basic setting, but thoroughly recommend.

“Great food good vaue”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

A great place to stop for fresh fish kebabs, grilled to perfection with a nice skewer of potatoes on the side . The lobster soup was tasty if a little watery and not too much lobster in it. The staff were efficient if a little too interested in their own giggles and phone photographs . Worth a visit and probably a really good lunch stop, more than a romantic night out.
