This place is terrible i am a local and i now loot of places to eat here in Reykjavík. Me and my local friend was there last summer and we were having a lunge but it turn out to be a nightmare. they mess up our order over and over again. as we stayed outside waited there for over 2 hours after chicken salad and two hamburgers. waiters where bringing out food to customers how were long gone. my friend din.t get chicken with the salad, and we din.t get a bacon with a bacon burger. I rarely complain about restaurants but when i think about the service there i just get mad. i was trying to be reason with the girl that where over the place but she din.t have a dignity to give us 50 % off original price. don.t bother to go and eat there just go to the corner there and eat at cafe parís much better place.

We stumbled upon Thorvaldsen as we got our bearings on our first night in Reykjavik and were drawn in by it's modern but inviting decor and atmosphere. We went for a simple meal of vegetable wrap (akin to a fajita), nachos and onion soup and to be honest, we were disappointed. The wrap was lacking in flavour and was cold as were the chips accompanying them. The nachos were generously smothered in a plastic looking - and tasting - artificial cheese goo that was advertised as cheese sauce and the onion soup was tasty despite the soggy cheese bread on top. We still enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and as a lively bar in the evening this place is probably great, but if you're looking for a place to eat, walk on - as we found, there are plenty of amazing eats to be had in this city!

Great food and service and not ridiculously expensive compared to other restaurants in Reykjavik. They had a fish special of the day and it was the absolute best salmon I've ever eaten. So good, we went back another night and had it again. The wait staff was personable and attentive. It reportedly gets a big crowd late for the club action but we had dinner only and found it quiet and cosy. Would highly recommend!

Started with a French onion soup that was not French but did have a lot of onions and a crouton with cheese on top. Got a Turkish chicken shwarma wrap, which was OK, and a Parma pizza which was OK. The wrap did have some Turkish-esque flavors but it is not really Turkish. The pizza was thin crust and tasted fine. Nothing special but not terrible either.
