Owner description: Elding is a tour supplier in Reykjavik offering whale watching and other adventures at sea all year round. We are conveniently located just off Reykjavik's old harbor. The various types of whales commonly sighted include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises and the popular humpback whales. We will be accompanied by sea birds such as gannets, puffins, guillemots, cormorants, gulls, kittiwakes, arctic terns, and many more. Check our online Whale Diary for daily updates on whale sightings. To make our tours even more comfortable, we provide our passengers with warm (and floatable) overalls and raincoats. For safety reasons, all children under 12 years of age are required to wear life jackets during the tour.

We saw the Northern Lights last night (6/2/2016) just off Reykjavik with Elding Sea Adventures - fantastic!! We were only 5 minutes in to the 2 hour cruise and there they were! Great service and a night to remember forever!

They are located just at the marina and close to the city,
I was attending a whale safari on 30. January and it was a greate trip out to relax from the city.

It was about -3 degrees Celsius when we left but it was very windy outside so it felt like -15 since there was some cold winds.

The guide Marcus/Marius (something like that) was excellent and was telling stories about either whales and the marina life.

Unfortunately we didn't see any whales/seals but we didn't get a free return ticket valid for 2 years so the warranty is great and since its natural life you can't choose when they show ;)

We booked our night time cruise for the Northern Lights with them and what an experience. When we boarded the boat we were advised to borrow one of their floatation suits as being out on deck it would keep us both warm and dry. After putting them on I now know how Tim Peake felt wearing a space suit. The suits did keep us warm and dry during our late night adventure in the snow storms and howling winds. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the aurora, but the Company did give everyone a voucher for another tour to be taken within 2 years.
