“Great apartment in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

We stayed in apartment 90. It was great. Very clean (cleaned daily) and in a perfect location. It was quiet at night and a short walk to the shopping streets and the harbour. It was easy to check in, pressed the buzzer to get in and our keys were waiting in an envelope. They then rang us to check everything was ok. We could call anytime with questions which wasn't necessary as there was lots of useful info in the apartment. You could use the phone to call Icelandic numbers for free.
I'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed at both The Embassy and The Castle - I didn't read my documentation correctly so ended up arriving at The Castle without realising that I was upgraded to The Embassy - so check the emails out - they are different locations. Firstly The Embassy - in a nice part of town - about a 10 min walk from the main strip, but relatively close to nice restaurants. The apartment was quite large, simply furnished and very quiet. The Castle apartment was smaller, however I liked it more - it was cosy with a great view across the pond. Just a bit of noise from the traffic on the road, but nothing too bad. The apartments are equipped so you could cook quite easily - it is nice when you are travelling to be able to make your own tea and have a snack instead of eating out all the time - Reykjavik is very expensive. All in all a good experience and recommende for others.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with lots of steps and heavy. luggage, then try for one of the ground floor apar...

We spent our first night in Iceland during our March trip at Embassy Luxury Apartments. We were pretty much impressed with the apartment we got as it was not only clean but spacious as well. The apartment has a living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The location of the apartment is convenient as it is within walking distance to quite a few eating places as well s the tourist info. We will definitely consider staying at Embassy Luxury Apartments when we visit Iceland the next time.

We stayed in the 'Embassy' apartments which are part of Castle House apartments - check in was super easy, was simply buzzed in using the intercom and the keys waiting inside.

While we only stayed for one night, it has everything you would need as a great base in Reykjavik. Clean and comfortable, excellent shower, and just a few blocks from central Reykjavik. The apartment was studio style, with small separate kitchen and bathroom. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here from 23-27 of February. Large appartment with cleaning every day. Nice and quiet location, comoftable beds and a very short walk to the main street, 5-10 minutes.
All at a reasonable price.

Stayed here in Apartment 80 for 7 nights end Jan/beginning Feb to celebrate my 30th birthday with my boyfriend. Firstly, we were sent loads of really useful information about the apartment, Reykjavik, tours etc as soon as we booked. The apartment was fantastic value for money compared to other places we looked at, yet was still of a good spec and in an excellent location - took us 5 mins to walk to museums/shops/restaurants/bars in the centre of Reykjavik. As the apartments are on a residential street it was lovely and quiet - our room also had views across to the Hallgrímskirkja. Apartment clean, modern, ample facilities for cooking (not that we did much of that!), and even though the living area and bedroom weren't separate in this particular apartment, we still felt that we had plenty of space. Heating and hot water as hot as you like - loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom especially as we were there in the midst of winter. Cleaned daily, even the washing up! Easy check in/check out, lots of useful maps, leaflets and instructions available. Reception were very helpful sorting out an issue we had with FlyBus Plus. Would have preferred a double duvet rather than two separate singles, and instructions for microwave/grill thingie, but was no big deal really. Strongly recommend these apartments!
