Just a long from the new opera house. Not a big as I thought it was going to be. Nice sculpture but should be lit at night for poss night effect photos.

“See in it what you will ...”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Stroll along the coast line beyond the theatre and speculate as to what this impressive piece of sculpture reveals to you. On every passing it invoked the thought of something different.

A ship it may be, but think of scorpions, baskets, a preying mantis, aliens ... even Klingons perhaps! We saw it in wild weather every time - high seas and also surrounded in ice. Like much of Iceland's feast for the eyes, although man-made, this is no less impressive.

“Excellent sculpture on the promenade”

A beautiful stylised ship with such clean lines. Although looking a little futuristic, it immediately says VIKINGS.

“A must see”

Beautiful sculpture on a beautiful harbor. Quintessential Icelandic feeling. Go when it's not windy, though (which is easier said than done)!
