Loved this place. Worked us in with extra couple. We all had various fish dishes and lived them. Central location.

“Wow!”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

This is another "must eat" restaurant in Reykjavik. The place has one of the best chefs in Iceland.. And there is no doubt that that Is true! If you like seafood and meat and love trying new things, have the 'round the world' or 'round Iceland' menu, with wine matched to perfection with very dish.. Round Iceland is more for the adventurous, try all the Icelandic delicacies. The place has a great vibe and a must go for all food lovers!

“Very nice menu with huge portions.”
Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant is upscale in price and quality, most entrees in the $30-40 range, but there are thi gs that are a bargain. They had a chefs tasting for $60-70 and it included lots of wonderful dishes! The rock shrimp were delicious as was the volcano sushi roll and ribs, but be careful with the appetizers as they are quite large. I found the wine list to be terribly overpriced, but they had nice beers from Iceland that paired well. I would recommend getting the cod. Very light and delicious. Keep your distance from the Minke Whale meat, but don't look like your keeping your distance. Micelanders seem to be offended by the implication that whaling is wrong. It is deeply ingrained in their history and tradition, and yet they do make efforts to do it fairly, humanely, and responibly, very different from the Japanese attitude. Our server was great and the meal can't be beat. If you are going to spend some money on a meal, do it here, and definitely not at VOX.

“Excelent sushi and salmon”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

This restaurant is owned by one of Icelands finest chefs; Hrefna Sætran. The place is very "hip and cool" meaning the interior, food and cocktails. I love their sushi and their cooked salmon. She also has another restaurant called the Grillmarket which is the steak version.

“For everyone who loves fish - and for those who don't but wish they did”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Go for the tasting menu and have a variety of rare, tasty, delicate fish food defile in front of you. Neat approach to have one plate of each dish presented to the four of us - thus we could serve ourselves and cater to the individual needs. If you add the wine menu, you will have in abundance. Service was efficient, laid-back and without any fuzz, location is central and the venue trendy, upmarket - and packed on a Saturday in September. Make sure you book ahead - and do go, it is really worth it!
