Diamond member here and this was a waste of points and made me want to switch to Bonvoy. I decided to cut my trip short to stay at the Retreat at Blue Lagoon. Called Hilton and the hotel to try to get points back, within the 7 day policy. Was told I would not be able to; I’d have to rebook my trip at higher points rate. So I’ve lost thousands of points on this trip leaving one day early.
Meanwhile, was only upgraded to a handicap accessible room, as Diamond member. Still very small with depressing view, super loud on the weekends. No welcome gift for Diamond, no special treatment.
No room service, restaurant was so-so, bucket of ice was literally a Tupperware container! Lol. Food in lobby was depressing and expensive. Lobby staff very reserved and not that friendly.
Nice library and gym... that’s about it! Pictures of rooms don’t match what you think you’ll get.
Sorry I can’t do a better review! Was excited to stay here but wasted many, many points.
