“beautiful western fjords with experienced guide”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

my husband and i went on a borea tour while on our honeymoon. we were lucky to have haukur as our guide - he knew everything and we felt very safe on the fjords with him. the pace of the group (us and 3 other walkers from iceland) was just right and haukur did a great job pointing out the local flora and fauna. in fact, we even got to walk along an extra fjord because we were ahead of time! we ended the walk with a wonderful home cooked dinner at a house by the sea that borea adventures is fixing up. now we cannot wait to return (in winter this time) to see how the house has turned out and to go on skiiing tours with haukur. would highly recommend the tour company for ease of booking, accessible pick ups and all inclusive packages.

“Unique ski touring adventure”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

Had a blast with a great group of friends and superb staff skiing the remote west fjords of Iceland couple of years back. Enjoyed every minute of it. First descents and some good skiing. Gets my vote every time for the adventure ski trip of all time

“Family Adventure in Western Fjords”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Our family (teenagers 16, 14 and 12 years old) did a three day trip with Runar from Borea Adventures. Day 1 consisted of boating to the start point of a day hike where we walked up and over one ridge to finish at an abandoned farmhouse where we spent the night. The food was fantastic. Views during the day were spectacular as were the fresh berries. That evening we were lucky to see two arctic foxes. On Day 2 we kayaked from the farm house to a third fjord where we tented near an old whaling station. We saw seals along the way as well as many types of birds. The historical significance of the whaling station was really brought to life by Runar's stories. Day 3 we did a short kayak trip back to a meeting spot where we were picked up by the boat, had a wonderful lunch in Borea's cafe in Isafjordur and then headed to a natural hotspring in the area. A great adventure for everyone in our family. I would highly recommend Borea for family adventures with teenagers.

“Sea kayaking day trip”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

We went for a sea kayaking trip with Borea and were really pleased with them. The kayaks were good and easy to manouver even with relatively little experience. They also helped us find accommodation (the called 4 or 5 B&Bs for us to check availability and rates) and provided some good tips for things to do near the town itself and places to stop on our way back to Reykjavik. Their cafe serves nice lunch as well. We're hoping to return someday for their skiing trip and/or a longer trip to Greenland! Would recommend these guys.
