“Convenient, friendly, good food”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We had lunch in this restaurant adjacent to the tourist information office and were very glad we did. The food was hearty and tasty and the staff was friendy and helpful. It was quite busy when we were there, which indicates its popularity with both tourists and locals.

“Beautiful little restaurant by the water”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Right next to the tourist centre, this unassuming (from the outside) little restaurant is just lovely inside and boasts a breathtaking view of the snow covered mountains. Full bar and a lovely menu means you can have anything from a light lunch to full dinner. They have pizzas, burgers, various fish dishes, and home baked bread. Definitely worth a stop. Free wifi with a view ... Stunning! Do keep in mind that restaurants in iceland, generally, are not "cheap" in comparison to many other countries.

“A worth while stop”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

I'll keep it short: amazing fish! Have the seafood skillet; the fish is fresh an the fish is extremely tasty. A bit of an atmosphere bummer with some tweens being rowdy and a football game on, but I doubt this is a usual thing.

“Delicious Food”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

We stopped by looking for the tourist info and ended up staying for lunch. We were the only customers, I think they just opened, and it was the middle of the week. Our waiter was helpful and suggested the daily special, which was Fish and Chips, which at first we were wary of but decided to try it anyway. He then went back and cooked our food for us and it was fantastic. The best fish we had during our 16 days traveling the Island. It was lightly fried, not greasy or heavy, and the fish itself just fell apart it was so perfectly cooked. The flavor was incredible. After our meal our waiter (Sigi) chatted with us about his time studying in the states and I asked him many questions about the strange and unique beers and alcohols behind the bar. He was so helpful and friendly, rounding out a lovely day in the town.

“A delicious meal”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We were a little apprehensive about visiting this restaurant having read a poor review on here. Having tried elsewhere, which was closed, we decided to try the Edinborg and were very pleased we did.
We had from the menu, the three kinds of fish served in a Skillet with vegetables and a side salad, it was absolutely delicious. We then finished off with a desert recommended by one of the friendly staff, this was called Disudraumur, and apparently it is a desert local to the West Fjords and was another delicious treat.

The staff were attentive and checked we were happy with our meal. The bistro attracted both young and mature (that would be us) clientele with a laid back atmosphere.
