Chose the hotel as it offered breakfast and shuttle for early morning 7 am flight. Good room rate ( via Eurobooking) but hotel failed to confirm email some time before which contained a clear request as to whether they were providing ealy breakafst and more importantly the airport shutle. Breakfast was provided with some degree of indifference and well after checking in they said there was no shuttle..which meant an extra taxi fare. Seems that they are new and providing good quality accommodation but definitely you need to get them to confirm if they are able and willing to transport you to the airport.Otherwise book a hotel that guarantees the shuttle. Other hotels in Keflavik do this as part of their package.

When we showed up at 11pm with a group of 15 people all delayed from the same flight, Prentis, the owner called a local restaurateur at home to arrange a special dinner for us. She checked on everyone's flights, made sure everyone made their delayed connections and was generally incredibly friendly and helpful. This goes well beyond a 4 star hotel's service, and was offered out of kindness, and friendliness. We would stay here any time we are in Keflavik. We walked the 5km to the airport on a whim and enjoyed the beautiful landscape. It's a 20 minute bus ride from the airport to the blue lagoon.
Wonderful hotel, super friendly and helpful staff.

We didn't close our eyes the one night we stayed in hotel Keilir. We were not warned about the parties in the two night bars across the street. All night long their music kept us awake, while visitors stayed outside and were yelling, apparently drunk. The rooms looked very much unfinished: they contained a bed, a Television which was not placed on it's standard yet. There were no bed tables nor bed lamps. The man at the reception didn't want to react to our complaints.

This family run hotel was a nice find-- right on the "main street" in Keflavik with bars and restaurants right outside the front door. Our room was very comfortable and faced the water. We were so happy to wake up and only have a five minute drive to the airport instead of the 45 minute drive (from Reykjavik).

Me and my husband stayed at the Hotel Keilir the 24th of July. We had an early morning flight and thought we might enjoy an hour longer sleep by staying in Keflavík. Hotel Keilir got reccomanded by fellow travellers that we met through our journey. It is surely a shame that we did not stop for longer in Keflavík, as apperantly there is alot to explore there, such as the bridge between two continents, the blue lagoon is only 15 min´s from the hotel and a viking exhibition which actually shows a real vikingship. It is a shame we did not come earlier, as the hotel was great value for money and the husband and wife owning it, showed us much care and were most willing to help us with whatever questions or amendments we needed. Thank you very much for a pleasent stay on our last night of our journey! ! !

Really friendly welcome, small but very comfortable, modern & clean rooms. Breakfast was mostly gone at 6am, we think due to large group leaving just before us. Also, be sure to check if their shuttle is operating when you need it - it's not 24/7. We were very happy to spend our last night in Keflavik as it allowed us to explore the beautiful peninsula the day before.

We stayed at Hotel Keilir after our flight from Keflavik was cancelled. The lady at reception was very helpful and offered suggestions for dinner and arranged our transport for the following morning without us asking.

The rooms were new and spotless clean. Granted, there was nothing in the room beyond the TV and the beds but it was nice.

There was a very loud pub immediately opposite the hotel which was open until after 05:00 but some ear plugs solved that problem.

Breakfast was simple but tasty and we departed with smiles on our faces.
