We stayed here the last night before flying out. New clean room at a good price. The gentleman running the place filled up the hot tub for our son, hence the positive review from our son. The owner also runs a car rental firm. Judging by the way the guest house is run, it might be a good idea to rent a car from here. Would stay again. Some noise from the airport, but thats no surprise.

This guesthouse is a gem. We were lucky enough to get a room last minute. We couldn't fault a thing ... Homemade cakes available, hot tub, spotless rooms and facilities, friendly owner, free wifi and amazing value for money! I wish I could have stayed longer but I had a flight to catch!

Beautiful modern and well equipped home from home. The owner has done a great job in building this house and offers very comfortable and warm rooms with great communal facilities. There is some really nice artwork around the place to compliment the very nice scandanavian feel to the house. Breakfast is self service from a really well stocked kitchen and tea and coffee is on tap. Just to complete things there is a hot tub outside. Shared bathroom which again was very modern and welcoming. The owner ran us to the airport as when we left. If you don't have a car it is a good way off the town centre so make sure you eat before arriving. Look forward to going back to Ace Guesthouse when we next visit Iceland.

Room tip: Owner let us choose when we arrived. Our room overlooked the harbour and had underfloor heating. mmmmmmmm

We mucked up our flights and needed somewhere to stay near the airport at short notice. So glad to have pitched up at the Ace guesthouse. They let us check in early and furnished the kids with delicious home baked apple cake. The place was clean and well furnished and we were able to walk to the Viking museum which kept everyone happy for the afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ace Guesthouse. The owner was there to meet us when we got in at ~1am and all the guests were quiet and respectful coming in late at night so it was not noisy. The house is very clean and beautifully furnished in a clean, modern style. When you enter the house, there is a living area and kitchen/dining area and the rooms are on the sides. We had huge picture windows in our big bedroom from which we could see the ocean. We also had heavy drapes to block out the light for sleeping. The bed was huge and comfortable. The room we had used a shared bathroom which was also very clean and well stocked with towels and other items. The breakfast was typical Scandinavian with tons of choices for muesli, fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurt (they have a special very tasty yoghurt in Iceland) and more. Tea and coffee was also available. Everything was laid out or in the fridge so you could help yourself when you got up in the morning. The guesthouse is very convenient (about 10 minute drive) from the airport--so close that when the rental car company failed to have a car ready for us when we arrived, they agreed to take us to the guesthouse using the shuttle van. The owner was very nice and runs a beautiful guesthouse. He also takes credit card for payment for the rooms. There were also some cute homemade crafts including knit hats. Even in the summer it was quite cold so if you didn't bring a warm hat, you could get a cute pink owl hat.

Room tip: There is an en-suite room available that is tucked away in the back and would offer more privacy if you wanted to sleep late or are super sensitive to noise. Our room was off the main living area and we didn't have any issues.
