This beautiful little hotel could not be any better. The surroundings are breathtaking! The location is perfect, especially if you decide not to rent a car. The bus station is right across the street and it's only an hour ride to the capital. The staff is outstanding--extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions, whether it was the best way to get to the Blue Lagoon or the closest place to buy knitting supplies. Breakfast in the morning was delightful and 24 hr. coffee and tea was a nice touch. There's no question that I'll stay there on my next trip!

We stayed here on our last night on our really amazing Icelandic holiday. We couldn't have made a better decision; this hotel was everything we could ask for. We didn't spend much time in the hotel itself, but if we did, we would have had a selection of DVDs and books to enjoy. Our room was facing the pathway to the reception, so we didn't have a view, but the views started right after we got out of our room. The sitting room and breakfast lounge were beautiful, and the view outside was enjoyable with all the boats in the harbour. Keflavik centre is just a short walk away and has nice cafes and restaurants.

The hotel owner was very nice, and breakfast at 5 am due to our early flight was no problem. Breakfast was adequate too although we missed the veggies, fruits and hot courses that apparently are available in normal breakfast. Our room was very clean, bathroom was nice and so new we could actually smell the wood. The shower didn't have that sulfur smell that is present everywhere else in Iceland. Only small problem came from the fact that there weren't any place in which to put our towels to dry on. We enjoyed our bed very much and got a good night's sleep before starting our journey home. Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Iceland!

After 10 days of Ring Road-tripping we were exhausted and in desperate need of a little bit of creature comforts. Hotel Berg was the perfect last night hotel.

Everything was comfortable, and pristine. The owner was wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed. She even made us reservations at the delicious Kaffi Duus which is a mere 100 yard walk from the front door.

Breakfast was ready when we needed it, everything was fresh and there was plenty to go around. We did not need a ride to the airport because we were returning our rental car, but I have no doubt that we would have been delivered promptly, had it been requested.

I could not recommend this hotel more highly.

Room Tip: The room with the lofted bed also has a futon that can sleep two. Perfect for groups!

We travelled in Iceland for two weeks, camping and hostelling our way around the south & west coasts. We spent our last night before leaving in Keflavik in order to be close to the airport. The hotel was a little difficult to find, it's at the south edge of town beside the little fishing boat harbour. A brand new house, very large by Iceland standards, the owners live in one side & they have recently opened 12? rooms to travellers. The woman who runs the hotel was very helpful & kind, the rooms were very clean & comfortably furnished, good beds, lovely bathroom, soft large towels & a great shower. TV in rooms, Sky channels. Breakfast included, bagels, assorted cookies/crackers, bread to toast, fruit, cereal, juices, teas & a wonderful coffee machine. We didn't have any issues with unusual arrival times or departures but I'm sure they would accomodate travellers with any difficulties. Very nice way to end our fabulous trip to Iceland.

We have been travelling around Iceland for 12 days and stayed in different hotels, guest houses and farmer houses. On our way to the airport we spent a night in Hotel Berg, Keflavik.
It as an absolutely marvellous hotel, feels like a 5-star. We got a 2-floor studio for 3 persons with huge windows, modern design, very well furnished. The lobby and breakfast room are very beautiful and comfortable too. The owners helped us with everything we asked for and even drove us to the airport at 5 in the morning!
PS There is a jacuzzi, not only a hot tub, like everywhere else in Iceland.

Room Tip: Room number 1 has bay and town view, huge windows.

This hotel just opened this year and is run by the family that lives in the adjoining home. It's location is so convenient to the airport, it's a clean and sophisticated hotel at a great price, with great amenities like satellite TV in rooms, fantastic, fully features rooms, and a pretty nice included breakfast. The hostess goes out of her way to make sure you everything you need.

This was our last hotel on a 10 day tour all around Iceland, and it was the perfect ending. Comfort and convenience all the way.

Room Tip: The room with the loft has a futon in the living room and is great for a group of 3 or 4.

Can't recommend highly enough! We arrived on a delayed flight at 4.30 in the morning and were picked up from the airport and whisked straight to the hotel, shown our room and left to climb into bed. Very comfortable, peaceful, immaculate. Breakfast simple and plentiful. Service couldn't have been more helpful.
