“A pleasant surprise”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

We visited the Husavik Whale Museum at a discounted price showing our ticket for the Gentle Giants Whale Watching tour. It was a pleasant surprise! The museum is extremely rich with information, but the highlight is represented by the stunning whale skeletons that occupy most of the space on the top floor.

It's absolutely worth a visit, either while waiting to whale watch or as an alternative in case of bad weather.

“A nice alternative when it's too rainy to whale watch”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Very informative museum, lots and lots to do and see and learn. Some really visually stunning pieces - got some great photos.

I didn't know that whales and dolphins don't have pelvises. Crazy!
We really loved the kids' art. There's a cute little coffee room. Great way to spend a squally afternoon.

Plan on almost 2 hours to give justice to this museum. It covers not just the local whales but those throughout the world

“Great experience”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We really like the museum. Is worth to reserve half a day to see it. It has a lot of interesting information about whales, how the live, the species that are there. Also very well prepare for children.

It completes perfectly the watching whales experience
