Having spent previous nights in a hostel, Hali was a very welcome 'step up' for our next 2 nights.
What a pleasure, well presented, clean & cosy rooms, functionally furnished to a very high standard with quality fittings in the bathroom - the under-floor heating an added comfort!
Our group were together in one of the newer buildings furthest from the Restaurant/Museum with a view out over the sea - very tranquil.
The working farm continues with the Icelandic tradition of using fresh home produce coupled with locally caught fish, wonderful to the discerning palate, all expertly prepared 'in house'.
I am a lover of all things 'fishy' so thoroughly enjoyed the Arctic Chard presented in 3 different ways. Also available, Lamb, cooked 'pink' (which isn't to everyone's liking) plus another meat dish, something for every taste. Soup, salad & various vegetables to complement the meal. Those who enjoyed a sweet were pleased with the choice.
Breakfasts were wholesome & ample for the start of a busy days sightseeing; lots of cereals, yoghurts, cold cuts, home baked breads & pastries & the usual beverages.
We had a packed lunch each day - this consisted of a huge sandwich made with home baked bread & a cake for the group to share, all very enjoyable!
