We had a great time in Akureyri with Andreas. Our flight was late in the evening so Andreas picked us with his land rover and also drove us to the supermarket to get food(all of us were hungry on that day). The next day, Andreas drove us to different places with beautifull viewings and we were all moved by every thing that we saw . Volcano craters, goðafoss, lakes, yule lads and stories etc just made the trip so great. We also had a nice meal at dimmuborgir. Food there is like amazing. We have never eaten such tasty fish and special geysir bread. The sunshine made it even beautiful. Sky is blue, the sun is golden, the snow is purely white. Our guide Andreas has a great knowledge about Iceland and the culture. We were all impressed and we all think it's the best day in our trip ever. I highly recommend Andreas and Inspiration Iceland. It's a must when you visit Akureyr. takk takk xxx

We spent all day December 12th taking the Inspiration Iceland Myvatn - Winter's Wonderland tour and it was great. Andreas is the ideal tour guide. He shared information readily and easily answered all my questions. The sights are amazing.

Our group of 6 adults booked the Myvatn day trip with Inspiration Iceland. Andreas was very prompt in replying to my inquiries before the trip. We first took a special detour to his home along the fjord and got to meet his sweet wife and their adorable Siberian huskies. We enjoyed learning about Icelandic culture, history, and geology from Andreas along the drive. We visited Godafoss, the pseudocraters, lava formations at Dimmuborgir, and the Myvatn nature baths. It was a particularly snowy and windy day when we went, but Andreas demonstrated mastery of driving in harsh conditions and we felt very safe with Andreas behind the wheel (boy are we glad we didn't rent a car on our own!) His Land Rover was very comfortable...even with 6 adults. I highly recommend Andreas and Inspiration Iceland if you get a chance to visit the Akureryi area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our fabulous day trip with Inspiration Iceland. We started from Akuyeri and drove inland where despite the rainy weather we were inspired and impressed by Andreas' depth of knowledge about Iceland and the Icelandic people. We visited the many impressive sights in the Myvatn area and thoroughly enjoyed the trip in his Land Rover, getting particularly wet and dirty visiting bubbling sulphurous mud flats in rain and a detour via a volcanic crater in the icy snow. We completed a magical trip with a lagoon swim at Myvatin which was a perfect and soothing end to the day. Both teenagers were in awe of Andrea's knowledge and we would love to come back and experience another of his tours next year. Highly recommended..

The advantage for our customers is that there is enthusiasm & great expertise in our tours - which makes the trip magical. So choosing a smaller company as ours can be very favorable for those who are looking for more than a standard routine trip.
Besides, we start now offering skijöring trips with our Siberian Huskies - an another exquisite offer here on 66° North. A warm welcome

I did two tours with Inspiration Iceland - one to Laugafell and one to Myvatn. I was traveling alone, so contacted them via email to check which tours were running during my stay in Akureyri, and if there were any spots left. I was very lucky to be able to go on both of these tours.
Andreas was super helpful and very personable in our email exchanges. I was excited to meet him in person!

Both tours were incredible. Andreas is friendly, funny, and so passionate and knowledgeable about Iceland in general, but in particular the Akureyri area. There were only four of us on the first tour, and 5 on the second. Andreas delayed the second tour as there were cruise ships currently docked and he knew the Myvatn area would be crawling with bus loads of tourists earlier in the day.

It was wonderful to experience these areas with just a few of us in a 4WD, it feels so much more suited to the kind of scenery you're experiencing. Andreas was happy to answer any questions or pull over anywhere along the way for photos, which was great. When you're in a giant bus with 30 other people trying to take photos through the windows, it sort of takes away from the magic of it all. It was so terrific to just feel like I was in a car with some friends, but to have Andreas' knowledge (and four-wheel driving expertise!)

I learnt so much on these tours and I enjoyed them both thoroughly. Thank you Inspiration Iceland for making my visit to Akureyri unforgettable!
