I use this hotel regularly for business trips and always receive good service. Booking in is efficient, rooms are clean, reasonably furnished and comfortable.
It's more of a corporate hotel but absolutely fine and with 2 restaurants within the building there's no real need to eat out. Try and stay across the road from reception (don't worry, it's quirky but in a pleasant kind of way that most people like). It's a 60 second walk to the centre of Vaasa and the adjacent train station and even less to the first of several shopping malls. The airport is 10 minutes drive.
Can't really fault this hotel and I'll continue to use this as my base. Oh, and breakfast is marvellous.

Room Tip: You'll have a good room wherever you stay in the hotel.

The hotel has been around for quite some time and is composed of several linked but separate buildings. The Fransmanni restaurant is okay, the new mexican restaurant is average. The rooms are equipped with what is needed, but the bathrooms have the charms of a detention cell. The whole hotel has an air of the 80's and would need some renovation. Nonetheless, normally it is clean and staff is friendly.

We were treated well and the room was clean and very small. Not very quiet. Two restaurants, free wifi and the expected sauna. great location and Ok pricing, I guess. There was noise all night coming from somewhere we couldn't put our fingers on. We stayed two nights & would stay again

Room Tip: Have them show you two or three rooms

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the sunny capitol of Finland! This is a good hotel and it's really nothing to worry about. Here you have two restaurants to choice from, free wifi, a pool and sauna on the top floor! The room had everything i needed. Location could'nt be much better. The only downside was that it was'nt nearer the outdoor restaurant "Strampen". I recommend at least one visit there for a cold beer and something good to eat.

There is not so many hotels at Vaasa. Blu delivered quiet room in the main building during the weekend. I know that if hotel is full, these rooms can be also a bit noisy.

Breakfast, which is in an another building (pass under the street), is offering basics, but fresh fruit selection is definitely plus. They focus also on good raw materials and local offering. One half of "old side" building is under renowation - interesting to see how rooms will be developed.

Room Tip: Note that bigger rooms are in the "old side". I prefer main building rooms in the east sid...

First night I had a larger room, which was in principle nice - BUT: as being located in a separate building across the road (!) it was close to an important roadcrossing with frequent car noise disturbng my sleep. After complaining next night I only got a standard room, not a larger one. Standard rooms are very small. Also this room was noisy, although in the tenth floor of the main building - I had the permanant noise of huge ventilators/air conditions on the roofs below.
-On top: The hotel is in state of renovation, both the entrance in the main and the separate building give you the feeling of entering aconstruction site...

Again at Radisson Blu on a business trip.
Excellent location.
Very good breakfast, indeed, which to me is one of the most important issues in a hotel.
Nice staff, room was good.
What really made my day was the possibility to borrow a bike!
I was cycling al over Vaasa with a lightblue Jopo bike, and that really made me happy and smiling.
I got to a specialist shopoutside the center and regarding tha size of the city, a bike really helps.
My next time in Vaasa; Radisson Blu again!
