The pharmacy museum is housed n the oldest house in Turku. The visit wont take you very long but it is interesting to see how things were done in the old times.

“This you must see!”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

In the heart of Turku, just a hundred meters from the market-square, you find a peaceful oasis. First you can study, how they made drugs two hundred years ago and after that you can have a nice cup of coffee at Qwnsel House´s garden. All the traffic is just fifty meters away, but you are in peaceful oasis. PS. In the summertime there is a cock and a couple of hens in the garden, wandering and looking for something to eat! :)

“Unique and compact”
Reviewed December 1, 2011

Conveys a feel similar to the one when visiting the Jim Thompson House in Bangkok. Most impressive the pharmacy just when entering. A further wing well illustrates the modest lifestyle of the past by the exhibit of a finnish bourgeois household.

“Cafe is very nice!”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

The Cafe in the Qwensel house is very nice. It's in a homely yard in the oldest house of Turku. Very nice to sit outside. Cakes are homemade, without artifices and delicious! (normal Finnish prices though and size of pieces varies)
