This castle has been renovated and restored. It has a lot of rooms and you are led through all of them even though many don't actually contain anything or not much. There are interesting bits and it is certainly worth a visit, but it takes a long time to do the full tour. My son was complaining loudly long before we got to the end. As we had started in the middle of the morning and it had taken longer than expected to go round we were looking forward to some lunch, but were very disappointed to find that the restaurant had stopped serving food by two o'clock and only had a few sandwiches left. They did have some beer from a local craft brewery (which was good). My recommendation would be don't dawdle. You can also access the restaurant without paying to go round the castle which I may do next time I'm there just so I can try some more of their beer.

One of the few remaining castles in Finland. One could easily spend a few hours here as the place is huge. There is a decent restaurant in premises as well.

I always appreciate a nice walk around and into a church. I also appreciate the basic architecture and styling.

Well renovated. Lots of walking around in the main castle. The most informative part is the Bailey. The tour guides looked great in their period costumes, but we didn't understand Swedish or Finnish, so could not follow them... perhaps they also run an English tour, but not when we were there.

We spent 4 hours in the castle (till it closed) touring around it. There were English speaking tour guide to bring us around the castle. She told us about the history of Finland (lil bit), history of the castle formation till the present. She also explained about the culture, lifestyle during that time and there were a room with miniature of the castle expansion.

There knights room is quite interesting as we can dress up and the knight attire is heavy!

The view from the window looking out to the harbour is very nice.
