Beautiful designed hotel with lots of glass and concrete, gives a nice echo effect allowing you to hear your neighbours making telephone calls. Great room but no drawers, in the shower area no place to put down your shampoo's and not even tissue's in the room. The air-conditioning didn't work properly and the only control available is the temperature, just imagine to be there in summer. Staff is very friendly and helpful but should it not be all OK when you check in? The buffet restaurant is quite average however again service was good and friendly. The only restaurant served great food and the variety of wines offered was reasonable. The house wine offered was good value for money.
The pool area doesn't really invite, very open space with just a few deck chairs and no shade or umbrellas.

Room Tip: Check air-conditioning before opening the suite cases

Just returned from a great few days playing this course which you would think has been around for a long time. The mature olive trees that line the fairways support the idea of a course that is well and truly established.

Even though some of the previous reviews were worried us somewhat, our experience as a group of 4 seasoned golfers was superb. The hotel was immaculate, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable large rooms. The breakfast buffet was great with everything from smoked salmon to omlettes, however don't expect a full English. The golf was very challenging. The resort course was very well presented and challenging, however the other two courses, Villamartin and Las Ramblas were very tight and challenging, however all three were in superb condition.

We recently stayed at this hotel with a group of friends. Although the hotel was lovely and very modern it was the small finishing touches that we all thought brought the standards down. We booked this holiday over a year ago and requested a double room however when we arrived at the hotel, we had two twin beds. We asked could we have a double room to be told that the hotel was fully booked. The room did not have any tea or coffee or any english channels on the TV. The next morning we were woken at 7am by a chainsaw chopping down trees on the golf course that went on for an hour and a half which was quite annoying. That evening we wanted to iron our clothes so asked the reception staff for an iron to be told very rudely "no" as there where only 5 irons for the whole hotel and they were all booked out. From then on, each morning after breakfast we had to request an iron for that evening and it was pot luck whether we would get one! The spa was also not included in our stay which we were not made aware of, so we had to pay 15 euros each day to use it. They also charge 2 euros for a swimming cap. Food was served at the pool bar 1 - 4. One day we went to place our order at 3:55 an were kept waiting till 4:05 to be told by the rude staff that food had finished. So the next day we went back at 15:45 to place our order to be told again that food had finished. We complained to the management who were very understanding and gave us our meal for free (but not after waiting 2 hours as he forgot to put the order through!). Our friends also had issues of there own. I wouldn't let these small things put you off staying as it is a beautiful hotel, its just compared to 5 star hotels in Duabi there is a big difference and I personally dont think La Finca is a 5 star hotel due to the lack of customer service. It's more like a 4 star.

Room Tip: Bring an Iron!

This is an odd review to write. The hotel was clearly going to be the centre of a big luxury development until building stopped and its a bit of an oasis in a desert. Half built developments near by ( good to run around though) and a feeling of not much around. The hotel is very nice to look at but sterile with no atmosphere - not much fun around the bar when we were there.

Good stuff- rooms very nice we slept really well quiet no noise excellent. Bathrooms lovely and spacious and the beds were great. Public areas not really used but they looked nice. The pools were lovely but they had to buy more beds when we were there as they we woefully short.

The a la carte restaurant looked fab but was empty, whereas the buffet felt like a poor relative. Have to say not impressed with the evening meals particularly the deserts which were terrible. First course was good and then it all started to slip just not enough quality or choice unfortunately.

The gym was very good for a hotel and the tennis great but all in all the hotel feels like its plopped from space and there is no sense of 'being' in this place. Great value but not for me. Oh final thing - the outside needs a good clean on the stairs etc - felt a bit neglected

We stayed in la finca for two nights in the summer. We found the room excellent, modern and clean. The breakfast was a buffet with everything you could wish for apart from the coffee which was from a pod machine and I found it undrinkable! We didn't use any of the hotel facilities as we were out visiting friends during the day however, pool looked lovely (although I noted that the towels were out on the loungers from the crack of dawn!). The bar had a great (if a little pricey) selection of cocktails. Staff were all helpful. Toiletries were Molton Brown - nice treat.
A great hotel but probably wouldn't go back as the area was soulless and not very Spain. Fine if you like being amongst 'Brits abroad'

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are probably of an equal standard.
