Lost in the middle of the Apulian countryside, the Masseria Barbera offers the best of the local cuisine. I was looking for a restaurant with something special, where I could taste typical dishes of the area, and where I could have what was seasonal, and there I found it.
I was surprised by the variety of the dishes offered with what was available at the time (I went in October the first time). The owner Riccardo, and the first waiter, Vincenzo were very friendly and professional and they were keen to give us explanation on each dish without being too invasive. The evenings are very romantic and the atmosphere is relaxing. I suggest to go for dinners to couples. During summer you can sit outside and enjoy the evening. All dishes are very good, but cakes are their speciality (so, save some space for them!!!). Prices are very acceptable (around 30 Euros per person) and you will come back absolutely satisfied. What I like of it, is that even if it's very stylish (for being a countryside masseria) it is still a very friendly and laid back place, where slow food and tradition meet and where you will feel at home.
