We spent a weekend at this hotel, which is conveniently located in the centre of Lahti; like all Lahti’s hotels it is a fair walk from Lahti Harbour – the area of most interest to tourists.

Our room was comfortable and staff were friendly; the discounted weekend rates on Friday and Saturday nights were particularly good value. On the Sunday on which we were there, no room servicing was provided. However, we were compensated by a discount on the quoted room rate for that night.

Breakfast was very good.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend and I must say that the hotel was far better than what I expected. The hotel location in a shopping mall is convenient and you are in the centre of the city. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was nice except for the shower doors that were not so up to par as I would expect. The hotel restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices with very friendly service. The breakfast at the hotel was good and plentiful, I enjoyed the blueberry pie that was delicious.

Room Tip: I think that the rooms on the higher floors are recommended, no noise from traffic

We reserved a family room from booking.com. Too bad we did not read the detailed room description, otherwise we would have chosen something else. We expected more spacious room with extra bed, but got a small room with twin beds, where the extra bed was just a mattress. Cumulus says that children are their start quests, but do stars really sleep on the floor? Room was so small that we had to move some furniture to get the mattress fit on the floor. Room was also too hot, even when the weather outside was not and there was no option to adjust the air conditioning.

This hotel is ok for adult travellers if air conditioning is fixed. Families should look for other options.

Central location. Connected to shopping mall that is very convenient. A number of other shops can be found around. Free high speed internet in the room was useful. Rich breakfast. Needs some renovation but for couple of nights it is a fine place.

It's a weird thing about the hotels in Lahti - all three (of the main ones) seem to be competing to be the same! So, for much the same price, all 3 offer perfectly OK, 100% non-smoking rooms of "Scandinavian design" with the usuals including armchair and free internet. As far as I remember all 3 also include a rather good breakfast and have paid parking available, as well as the requisite sauna. So you really can't go wrong.

That said, this is my least favourite. The rooms are a bit dated and I find the beds less comfortable But they offer a "pillow menu" and are connected to the shopping mall, which maybe counts in winter. It looks like there may be renovations under way (for the last 6 months), or maybe they are just downsizing. Anyway, I book it when the others are full.

I stayed in a room with twin beds and a children's cot! The room doesn't have a minibar nor any amenities like tea, coffee, toothpicks, comb... Couldn't change to another room without paying for the upgrade.

There's a chain restaurant Huviretki downstairs which has had the same menu for at leat 10 years. Amazing how people still want to eat the same steaks and chicken burgers.

Welll at least it was cheap, around 75 euros a night.

I stayed here for 3 nights,it was -25 degrees outside, and the room had 1 radiator, and underfloor bathroom heating. The radiator had its thermostat fixed to a too cold setting, the room was cold and had to leave the bathroom door open to try and stay warm. The breakfast was ok,the room ok,free internet with good speed. The reception didnt have my prebooking sorted on my arrival, but luckily they had rooms available. The hotel also let me down on booking me a taxi,it didnt turn up,and couldnt get me one sorted either,i had to walk the street nearby and flag one down. The hotel is situated in prime shopping, eateries and bars,it was ideal for walking distance to everything, even for the lake, only 15 minute walk.Although average hotel, would stay again.
