Slightly confusing signage out front made it a bit difficult to find.
However, the service was attentive and friendly, the food was good, the wine list was substantial and the price was just right. Recommended.

First time visiting Kuurna. Made table reservation for 4, pretty essential! Small meny, but there are some additional courses like Pepper Biff, is you dont go for standard weekly meny. All part of dinner was well prepared and delicate. Good service and welcoming athmosfere. Only six tables, more or less, som noicy and bysy for the staff. Time schedule som tight, two hours is ok but just ok for 3 courses and coffee/calvados... Price level as expected, high! This was not last time, I hope!

A long time since I have eaten in Kuurna, but I went there on the off chance the other night. Exceptional food & wine, and highly recommended. They have a small menu and cook to very high standards indeed. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff very welcoming. All in all a great experience. Although I did get in without booking it was a Monday evening, and I guess normally booking would be wise, since they do not have many tables.

We visited this highly praised little restaurant in the Helsinki Kruununhaka district (short walk from the Senate Square) with two friends for dinner. If you do not have the exact street address you might get easily lost trying to find the place because “Kuurna”, the name of the restaurant, is not at all visible on the street, you just have to follow the sign “Ravintola” hanging outside.

The first impression when entering is that you have arrived in a quirky pop up restaurant, or a bohemian friend's improvised party. The style of the restaurant could maybe best be described as shabby chic or rough lux by those who are into interior design trends. The style creates an informal and warm atmosphere. The menu is not extensive but we found many interesting alternatives. One can choose a 3 course or 2 course menu, for a reasonable price. We had pike quenelles as starter and lamb roast as main course, with almond honey parfait for desert. Wonderful combination. The wine list included lots of tempting alternatives, but this time I only had a glass of fabulous Cote du Rhone with the lamb, which was a perfect choice, recommended by the waiter. The service was throughout professional and very friendly but not intrusive. What an enjoyable evening. We will definitely return. Booking is essential. Recommended if you like to dine in a place with edge and personality combined with great cuisine.

Visited Kuurna on a frigid Monday evening with some business colleagues. The restaurant was cosy and inviting and we were made very welcome by the attentive staff. The food was simple and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the beef shin and brisket with polenta. The breads supplied were fresh and tasty - I just wish I'd left some for the cheese course.
