I enjoyed my stay at the Klaus K Hotel. My friend and I were traveling and had arranged a transfer from the airport to the hotel. We were greeted on time by a professional gentleman in a suit holding a sign with my name. It was a private large van for the 2 of us. The trip was about 35 minutes, and cost was about $30. They also provided a transfer back to the airport for the same and we were able to bill to our room and pay credit card, so we did not have to worry about having their currency upon arrival.
The hotel is in the center of town close to a number of parks, green areas with ice cream stands, coffee cafes, and restaurants.
In 10 minutes you can be to the water front with larges churches, a large ferris wheel, and get a view of the harbor and boats.
The hotel front desk staff was super friendly and were very organized for our check-in. It was a very simple process. The front desk young ladies helped us with anything – answering questions on restaurants, where to go, and what to see.
The hotel has a very nice Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. There were a number of Helsinki dining there and seemed very popular.
We used the hotels bikes and rode and explored town. They had two bikes for use.
The hotel is modern and the lobby has a very nice open setting with really amazing fun innovative interior design. Our room has 2 beds on the 2nd floor. The elevator to the rooms is small and a bit tight.
The room had nice colors and we had a good view looking out onto the street. I did not notice really any noise and slept well. Although the beds were small, the sheets were nice, the mattress was very comfortable, not too stiff or hard. I expect small beds from a hotel in Europe, so was not surprised. The room and bathroom sparkling clean. It had new carpet and the room had a fresh smell. There was a flat screen TV, on the wall right opposite of the beds perfectly located.
They had one of the best breakfasts. There are two breakfast options. One was near the hotel reception with fresh meats, eggs, orange juice, bread, brownies, toast and many other options. Also you can have breakfast in the Italian restaurant. There you can order an omelets, and also has Italian meats, toast, jams.
I really like this hotel and would stay there again. I liked how clean and modern it was. The service and staff was excellent. I travel all over the world and this really is a nice change from most hotels in Europe and would recommend it to friends.
