I'm a big fan of natural history museums, and I always make an effort to visit them when I'm visiting a city. The Helsinki Natural History Museum was a very pleasant way to spend a few hours, although it's nothing special. It has a very kid friendly atmosphere with a lot of hands-on exhibits and explanatory panels. For me, the highlights of the museum were the extensive displays of Scandinavian animals, posed in their natural habitats. The museum also has a nice collection of skeletons, an exhibit on dinosaurs, and, bizarrely, a stuffed 2-headed calf.
