The museum is not that big, but if you have just a couple of hours to spend, it's perfect for that. The exhibitions are easy to get around and the fee is very reasonable (we paid 10 euros for 1 adult and 3 children). The downside is that it is small, so if you are used to the Museum of Natural History in NYC, this is not your place. Also, if the museum is crowded, it is very crowded, as the halls are small and the elevator is in use all the time.
But, if you like to get a glimpse of Finnish and Nordic nature in a short time, this is you place. The animals are quite lifelike and the Dinosaur hall is great. Kids will love the huge skeletons and just the right amount of fun and knowledge.
The museum is easy to reach by walking from Kamppi metro station and the Central Railway Station.
