I stayed in Sheap Sleep Hostel for two nights. In general, I liked the place- location is very good, just above grocery store and a minute on foot to the bus- and tram station.
Friendly stuff gave me all necessary information. Moreover, one may book a bus/tram ticket at the reception desk, it is very convenient.
I booked 10-bed women dorm. It was my first hostel experience and it was above my expectations- clean, modern room with electronic safety boxes, small lamp and a pair of wall outlets next to every bed.
The thing I didn`t like was a shared hall. Every evening it was in a mess. Unfortunately, there is nobody to blame, but some of the guests. But the kitchen was well equipped, three shared fridges (do NOT forget to signe your food before you put in in the fridge :) ), electric oven, microwave oven- the set which never leave you hungry. But there were some advantages of the shared hall- there were a lot of things to do- table games, books in different languages, booklets, brochures and maps of the city.
So, CheapSleep Hostel met all my expectations and in some points was above them. As it was the cheapest accommodation in Helsinki for the May holidays, it was a great choice.
