The Icepark is located in the heart of Helsinki. Next to the central railwaystation. Its opened end of november to march, every day. Theres outdoor ice rink and small cafe.
Ice isnt so large, but you can have fun there! Music is plaied and very often there is different kinds of extra activities you can join. If you have never skated before, there are skating teaching and -sledges you can lean on and get balance. And if you need any help, dont hesitate to ask - we Finns are maybe little shy, but we love to help you, you only need to ask!
The price is about 5e. There are skate rental service, skates costs 5 euros.
And if you like ice hockey, you must see some games. We Finns love ice hockey! Its our passion! In Helsinki there are 2 teams which plays the highest hockey serie. Helsinki IFK (their home rink is located just near Olympic stadium, not far away from city centrum) and Helsinki Jokerit (their rink Hartwall Areena is located near Pasila railwaystation). You can see game scedules on their websites. They play between september - april.
And on may 2013 Finland are the host of Ice Hockey World Champion games. Its plaied on Hartwall Areena. If you dont have your own country playing, come and shout for Finland! Finland is World Champion 2011.
