We had a great picnic at Kaivopuisto. There are multiple playgrounds some of which are built up on a hill/rocky outcrop. It leads to a great slide! There are formal gardens and wilder areas and the park is across the street from the water.

Huge park to walk, run, have a picnic or to do anything really. You can walk by gulf, try nice cafes or during night bars/ nightclubs. During summer various events going on.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in Helsinki. There is an elevated ground where you can walk up and sit on the edge for some really beautiful views of the sea and Helsinki in the background lining up the horizon. Lush green and very well landscaped, this park is must to visit to spend some quality time with nature and your loved ones.

If you like walking or riding a bike spend some time in the Well Park. It is located by the seashore in a charming Helsinki district. A visible landmark of the park is the observatory on the hill.

In case you approach the park walking from the Helsinki port, you will see an interesting statue of a barefoot woman. According to the text chased on the base, this monument was built in 1968 by grateful Finnish people and intended to show that Finland and the Soviet Union gained understanding. Not sure if I cited accurately, at least I got an idea that the statue was a symbol of Finland - Soviet Union friendship.

The park looks like a very nice place to have a snack. Bring your sandwiches there to have a great lunch enjoying both sea and garden view.
