I spent two nights in this Hostel. Staff is very friendly, and is willing to help and answer any kind of inquiry. The location of the Hostel is perfect, right in the city center. The Hostel is very clean (room, kitchen, toilets, bathrooms), the bedding is very comfortable.

This hostel is right in the center of Helsinki, really close to the railway station and all of the attractions so I rate the location as superb. The staff is efficient and polite while communicating both via e-mail and in person. The room was clean, comfortable and warm. Common area is really well-furnished. The hostel is in the old building and it feels really nice just to be there, the ceiling is really high, it's also panelled with wood that makes the common area look comfy.
There's free wi-fi working well. No curfew. You can get a discount if you have a hi hostel card.
I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Helsinki.

The staff was efficient and polite in all email communications prior to the stay. Checkin staff was similarly polite and welcoming; over the course of the stay, it was the younger night staff that were more cordial.

The single room is a bit small in my opinion, given the price -- even if it is Europe. The locking mechanism for the rooms is very old-fashioned and loud. Two significant issues concerning the wing I stayed on (to the left as you face the office): (1) the water closet is so small that you have to contort yourself around the door and over the toilet and avoid the low ceiling just to close the door; (2) the wi-fi for this half of the hostel was not working. The kitchen is spacious, fairly cheery, and comfortable -- well-stocked and with lots of instructions for food storage, disposal, and cleanliness. The wi-fi on the kitchen side worked well.

The location simply can't be beat -- near Aleksanterinkatu / shopping district, close to a few tram lines, a short walk from the railway station, lots of sights / monuments in range as well. A few quick-service food places and a convenience store within a couple of blocks.

Good hostel, really good. It's situated in the center of the city, close to big malls, railway and bus stations, sights ... Good service inside, all necessary kitchen stuff...Nice place to stay for a few days! Arrival is possible at night too in case you won't wake up all around) We stayed in the kitchen, had some coffee, went for a walk and then cheked in. We had a double room, it's not huge but fine for a few nights.

This hostel is 15 mins walk from central station. Staff is nice and 24/7 service. Facilities are good (wifi, kitchen, bathroom).
Room key is very traditional and need to leave at front desk every time you go out (one key per one room).

Room Tip: Room no.6 (female dorm) is the only room which provide a fridge but it's not spacy. Room no. 17 (mix dorm) is bigger.
